This house was recently put on the market for sale and our customer called us about it. The owner had produced receipts for some repairs on the roof, but the interior of the home had been painted so it was not easy to see evidence of water damage. Using an infrared scanner we were able to detect damp insulation in one of the walls. Inspecting closely, we also found black mold growing behind the baseboard on the same wall. The owner was correct in fixing the leak, but he was not aware that he had a serious problem inside his walls.
