Over time, more applications have been found for the technology and other companies like Fluke have entered the market.
What is the big deal? Since no one can hide their body heat, even ice cubes give off heat, thermal imaging reveals what is still invisible using night vision goggles. It allows people to see through smoke, fog, dust, and many other vision obscuring conditions. It can bring to light things like blocked plumbing, electrical overheating, and more.
What does that have to do with me when I need roof repair? On FLIR cameras, water damage is visible and allows you to track the extent of a leak.
It shows missing or damaged insulation and resulting energy loss. Insurance claims adjusters and homeowners can see the facts of the extent of damage that a roof leak has caused.
